The cre8txt keyboard may be used with Apple Computers, however the SMS translation and word prediction software does not currently support this operating system. Customers can still enjoy the benefits of MultiTap functionality on the cre8txt keyboard with their Apple Computer. Just plug the keyboard into a spare USB port and the keyboard should be recognised immediately.
 
The cre8txt keyboard is shipped in Windows® mode. To enable Mac mode, first open your favourite word processor or the application called "TextEdit" and press the left arrow key together with the right arrow key. You should see a message appear and disappear, the message should confirm "mac mode". To return to Windows® mode press the up arrow together with the down arrow key, you should see a message confirming "windows mode".
 
The cre8txt keyboard will work like a mobile phone keypad, you can multitap through the characters on each key, if you want a numerical character hold the key down for a second or two and that key's number will appear without having to cycle through the alphabetical values of that key.
 
If you want the cycling speed of the characters to be faster you can adjust this by pressing Shift + Symb1 to speed up and Shift + ghi4 to slow down. You may need to experiment a little with this feature until you are comfortable with the speed of the keyboard. This setting can always be adjusted again.
